Chaffey Custom Construction was formed in 2011 by Rick Chaffey. With over 30 years of homebuilding experience, Rick has put together a winning team of professionals here to help with all your home building needs. Customer satisfaction is one of the many aspects that this award-winning team focuses on. With considerable knowledge and experience in everything building related, this team is in your corner from start to finish.
As a leader in the custom home building industry, Rick displays vision and leadership in each and every project that he tackles. Rick guide clients from beginning to end of the Custom Home Building Process.
A native of Bellevue, Washington, Rick graduated from Arizona State University’s College of Business in 1990, with a degree in Real Estate & Construction Management. Rick has gone on to build thousands of homes throughout Western Washington, Oregon and Arizona.
His pursuit for perfection helped lead Chaffey Homes to receive the Green Custom Home of the Year award in 2008 from the National Association of Home Builders (NAHB), picking up the Built Green Hammer award along the way.
Pete brings over 35 years of construction experience to the team – from residential, to multi-family & commercial construction projects. A graduate of the University of Washington in Building Construction, Pete has completed countless projects throughout his career, around the greater Seattle area.
In addition to building homes, Pete has extensive experience in pre-production, plan development, estimating, budgeting, value engineering and project management.
A native of Redmond, Pete enjoys spending time with his family and friends, golfing and attending local sporting events.
Cristine brings over 17 years of Office Management, Bookkeeping and Customer Relations experience to the Chaffey Construction team. As the Office Manager, Cristine handles everything and anything that comes up.
Her ability to adapt and overcome any problem makes her a key figure in the office. Cristine thrives on all the challenges that make every day unique and exciting. Her attention to detail instills trust amongst her peers and colleagues.
When not working, Cristine enjoys spending time with her family and is an avid fan of the Seattle Seahawks and Seattle Sounders.
Office Manager / Bookkeeper
Jean Ann Hodges joins Chaffey Custom Construction with over 34 years of cross functional project management experience in the home building industry. For 21 of these years Jean Ann has owned and operated her own home building companies. Jean Ann has honed her skills in managing development of various multi-million-dollar homes construction, tract homes and custom remodels.
Jean Ann collaborates extensively with clients, construction crews, and city authorities to ensure seamless communication and development with the highest standard of excellence
In her spare time, Jean Ann enjoys spending time with her family, cooking, gardening, hiking, traveling and scuba diving.
Jean Ann Hodges
Brian brings over 35 years of experience in architecture design and construction experience. Brian has owned and operated his own custom home design businesses in Seattle, Denver, and Albuquerque.
With an eye for the fine details and strong organizational skills, Brians enjoys every aspect of the build process, from design to giving the keys to the clients’ dream home!
His favorite part of the build process is the project coordinating aspect of construction and working closely with vendors.
Brian loves gourmet cooking, kayaking, the Seahawks and “The Dawgs”!
We Provide our Clients with a Builder’s Limited 10-year Warranty
Every Chaffey Custom Construction home comes with an express
10-year Insured Builder’s Limited Warranty that is clear and specific. Our warranty document provides detailed quality standards, with specific tolerances for homes built and enrolled in our program. While most builders will promote their quality, we go one step further and put our promises in writing with an insurance-backed warranty. Our warranty document identifies what is covered and for how long, in concise and easy- to-understand language.
Our warranty program consists of a 10-year written warranty, backed by strong insurance. There are 3 distinct warranty periods:
Year 1: Workmanship and Materials
Year 1-2: Major Systems: “Inside the Wall” coverage
Years 3-10: Structural Element
We have partnered with Professional Warranty Service Corporation (PWSC) to administer this warranty which is backed directly by Steadfast Insurance, a member of Zurich North America Group. Baseball Beyond Borders TM (BBB) is a sports-based community development organization designed to bridge the social and economic gaps between youth of color and the game of baseball/softball. The focus is not only to develop student-athletes baseball knowledge and skill, but to replenish our community with leaders for tomorrow. We look to accomplish our goals by creating a community-wide effort to bring awareness and increase access to baseball/softball opportunities for our youth and families.
Our vision is for healthy marriages and stronger families in every community. Our military and first responders are our national and local heroes. Their unique occupational experiences add stressors that affect their relationships and families. Stronger Families come alongside them to offer hope and tools to strengthen their family unit, thereby impacting future generations in our free society. It’s our privilege to serve those who have already served us.
Alexander’s Hope is a nonprofit organization aimed to spread awareness of organ donation, as well as provide lifesaving cardiac test for youths to test for undiagnosed heart conditions. Additionally, we are Alexander’s Hope are advocates for updating Washington State’s driver’s education curriculum in order to better include organ donation into the curriculum, with hopes to increase first time driver’s license recipients’ opt-in organ donation rates.
